well, it was my first travis-concert last night, and it was worth it to wait 4 years! I still can't believe how amazing friendly the fans are.
there was no pushing, no hard words, nothing.
I stood in the second row, and there wasn't even an elbow which hit me xD
Anyway, I was so happy about the played songs, good mix of old and new stuff, although I was a bit surprised that there was more old stuff (I hope I remember that right!).
Fran talked about his son having a german passport, I think there was also some talk about soccer... anyway, it was a lovely evening, and it just felt good to be there. I really enjoyed this concert very much and travis convinced me that they are absolutely the best band there is!
My first - and hopefully not last - Travis show ever! Great setlist, very nice crowd and a perfect atmosphere...
Next time I see you guys you have to bring along Claus again! Everyone should have a swedish keyboarder like him ;)
This was my second concert and again it was BRILLIANT!! The combination of songs and the whole atmosphere was perfect. Great live band. You also managed to win a new fan. He was also Stunned of the performance.
Wow! What a show!! It's been a couple of days now and I really needed the time to actually realise that I went to see Travis again.
To be honest, I had mixed feelings until the beginning of the show, because I had only seen them once before - in Glasgow. So every other gig was condemned to be second best. Fortunately though, my memory is fading fast and the band did everything to make this a night to remember.
To sum it up in a few words: it was a great set, a good mixture of old and new, a very nice crowd and of course a wonderful band!!
So I hope they'll keep their promise and be back soon. I can't wait to see them and the next time I will already go there with a really Good Feeling. ;)
This was the second Travis gig I've been to after their performance at Rock am Ring earlier that year. Both were amazing and awesome in their own way, but very different from each other. Whereas the first one was open air in front of about 12.000 people, this was smaller in-door one in front of 4.000 and with a regular tour set.
The days before, Good Day To Day became one of my favourite Travis songs, though I was sure to never hear it live, because I haven't seen it on a setlist that year. Yan you imagine how happy I was to hear them rehearsing it? I just hoped, they played it at the show as well and so they did. I worried, they might leave out The Line Is Fine instead, but they played it as well. So I was really glad about the very well mixed setlist, although my favourite Boy With No Name song "Battleships" has not been played. Again they have let me know why they are one of my favourite bands, musically and personally.
Why I write that a year after the show?
Well, I just want to thank you and hope I can also do it personally!
