I loved your show guys even the sound sometimes was not good, but it wasn't your fault. You played with so much enthusiasm, I enjoyed it so much!! Re-offender, Love Will Come Through and Chinese Blues were my favorites! I hope you come back soon, but as headliners, please!! I'll never get tired of seeing you live!!
I always love your shows no matter the little issues you may have, you always put so much energy on stage and make us feel as if we were in your living room enjoying your beautiful music :o). So, once more I want to thank you for giving me another great experience with you and your music.
It's such a pity you didn't play WDIAROM? :o(
And yes, please, come back SOON (as soon as you can) as headliners!!!
I loved it when Fran suggested to say hello to the person next to us!
This is one of my conflicts when I go to concerts: I enjoy it with the people I go with, but it is in fact a great party we are ALL part of and enjoy.
Travis was absolutely BRILLIANT!!
When 'Sing' came along just about everyone knew who Travis was, and; yes, WDIAROM was highly missed, and Andy's solos...aaaahhh; but I'm sure it will all be part of the list soon, very soon. Right?!!
I became a Travis' fan a few years ago (thanx to my lovely girlfriend, who is crazy about you), so when we heard you are coming along with PG, we couldn't belive our luck. As mentioned before, sound was not the best, but your enthusiasm and energy, all of Fran's smiles and chatter, Andy's rocking solos (and that banjo!), Dougie's backing vocals and Neil's solid backbeat are ALWAYS welcome. I really admire you for this, the way you connect with your audience and always manage to win us all entirely, overcoming language barriers and technical issues. I saw you about two years ago, in a different venue with much better sound (Palacio de los Deportes) and the camaraderie was also warm and everpresent. Thank you for giving us great music (over and hour, YEAH!) and lovely feelings. You are truly a one-of-a-kind band. Thenk you for having us singing over an hour. It was wonderful to see my girlfriend (just as august 2007) jumping and clapping as she heard the very frist seconds of your intros. CONGRATULATIONS and PLEASE come back soon.
PS, fantastic Lovely Rita cover from the 40th Sgt Pepper anniversary, BTW. I can't get enough of it. Specially, the paper+combs "special effects". :)
I loved this days!!! Thanks fran, thank you for all your time, THAAAAAANKS A LOT FOR VIP TICKETS!!
We loved the gig, we know the PG people and Travis people is different, but at least PG people was singing some songs and clapping...
And the best: Fran again added us to the guest list in GDL venue, honestly that haven´t name.
Loved it!, though, as many had say, the sound wasn't the best. Thanks a lot for almost an hour of your music!!, I was thrilled when you sang "Love will come through" and "Selfish Jean" which are amongst my favorite songs :)
It was a shame though that my boyfriend and I couldn't afford more expensive tickets to enjoy your music from the front row, but it is always a pleasure to hear you playing.
The setlist at Mexico City was:
(Intro) Do Re Mi
1.- Chinese Blues
2.- J. Smith
3.- Selfish Jean
4.- Writing to reach you
6.- Something anything
7.- Long way down
8.- Love will come through
Well... what can I say? I enjoyed the show, I LOVE this band. Obviously, there were more fans of Peter Gabriel, but the most of the people enjoyed Travis! The sound was good; I liked the setlist. Fran is a wonderful frontman and he proved it last friday night. Of course, Peter Gabriel was fantastic! Guys, please come back soon with your own show!
what can i say? it was just a little bit different from the other Travis' gigs in Mexico city but I must admit that every gig of them means something really special to me.
My sister and I were in the front section...we noticed that there weren't enough people there...so we moved to another place nearer the stage...then do-re-mi was played and i was so fucking happy as we saw Travis on stage...by then we were in the sixth row..."Chinese blues" started...we were shouting and jumping like crazy ones...everybody were looking at us like...wtf? but we didn't care at all...
When "Re-offender" was played we approached to the stage even more..and we found ourselves in the very third row..just in front of Travis...I could realized that Travis weren't very pleased to be there...well..Travis were so serious at times... but we knew that the crowd weren't helping at all...u know..they were just Peter Gabriel fans...anyways they didn't know any Travis song...
Then.."Long way down"...i love that song as you can't ever imagine..for me it's the best song of their last record...well..i phoned to rammsfer (i hope you like it my friend!)... but to be honest...he was just listening to my voice instead of frannys xd...that's when the guards asked us to move to our original seat...such a pity indeed...fortunately we found another one which wasn't that bad...so we stayed there for a while... then "closer" such a great song...fran told us to say hi to the person next to us..it was a beautiful moment...at least the people near us tried to do it...
They closed the show with one of my fav songs "turn"...it could sound stupid but we were just walking around the front section...while the guards were telling us..please move...please move...
i hated it...but at the end it was worth it...:D we saw Travis one more time and it's all that matters...
thank you for coming guys...you know we love you so much and that we will be waiting for you as always.
When I found out that TRAVIS was really excited because they are the best! They were great, one more time they showed us that they are genius. Although the sound wasn’t good I really enjoyed the concert. I hope they return soon because all mexico loves them!!!
