First, the show was absolutely f***ing brilliant (to borrow one of Fran's expressions). One of the best shows I've ever seen. Period.
Fran and Andy are fabulous musicians. And Fran is a wonderful storyteller, recounting nights of debauchery, the result of nights of debauchery, the loves of his life (Nora, Clay, and music), and the stories behind the songs.
I don't know if I could really pick a favorite song; they were all special and magical in their own way.
After the show, I waited for 2 hours to buy a T-shirt and CD. And believe it or not, it was worth the wait. Yes it was a long time but Fran and Andy were constantly apologizing to everyone for the long wait. And they took their time with each person, never hurrying them along despite the long lines. Fran even helped figure out why someone's flash wasn't working.
As I walked home from the Granada at 1:00 am in the morning, I had a BIG grin on face, recounting the wonderful concert as well as getting to meet the truly genuine Fran and Andy.
I don't think you guys could be more "f-ing" fabulous! ...with the band and acoustically. You are also just amazing people. Thanks for the stories, the laughs, the awesome lyrics and treating each of us who stood in line to meet you guys as friends! You are both so gracious. All I wanna do is rock...with Travis!
You guys are great! Had the best time of my life as always (although every time I come see you seems to be the new best time of my life :)). Loved the slideshow.
Did you go for beers at the Dubliner?
I just want to say thanks for coming Fran and Andy. Going to see a Travis show isn't like any other concert, it's an experience that you will always remember. My sister and I had an amazing time, as expected! I hope you guys can come through Dallas again on your next tour.
